I've just learned, from a reliable source, that most of the mulch purchased, both in bulk and in bags, has been dyed! Check with the vendor and/or read the ingredients list on the bags, before you buy. I expect that the dye is EPA approved but I still wonder what kind of impact it will have on the environment over time.
